We saw huge promise in this Edwardian mansion block in the heart of Hammersmith. Its evident period charm aside, the local lifestyle amenities, employment opportunities, and transport links make it an extremely attractive proposition to residents. To realise its full potential, we restored and upgraded a first phase of sustainable apartments, with design that will stand the test of time.
The building’s heritage appeal is evident inside and out and includes original Art Nouveau windows and beautiful tiled walls. Repurposing the entrance doors' original stained glass into the apartment hallways is just one example of our sensitive conservation programme. To maximise the floor area of the building, we entirely reimagined the interior layouts. The development’s notable sustainability credentials include UK-made windows and a Net Zero furniture pack of recycled and UK-sourced pieces. In addition, we improved insulation using a breathable lime-based plaster. In terms of quality of finish and energy performance, the refurbished property outstripped anything in the local market.
